Bolivians bake child-shaped bread for Day of the Dead ANC
On The Scene: Bolivians began the Day of the Dead celebrations by baking the traditional children-shaped bread and visiting their deceased loved ones’ graves. In La Paz, bakers baked “Tanta Wawas,” an Aymaran tongue phrase meaning “bread children,” baked figures representing the deceased.
