China expresses opposition to so-called exclusionary circles formed by certain countries which it claims heightens bloc confrontations that threaten peace and stability. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning in Beijing on Monday commented on the upcoming talks among the U.S., the UK and Australia on bringing new members into the AUKUS mechanism, and the upcoming trilateral summit among U.S., Japanese and Philippine leaders this week. It also rejected the U.S.’ plans to deploy a medium-range missile system in the Asia-Pacific region.
