The Tamilok, often mistaken for a worm, is actually a kind of mollusc that bores into saltwater-submerged wood. This also why fishermen refer to them as “termites of the sea.”

One can expect a sweet, earthy taste which is complemented with the sour juice from the vinegar. The experience can be compared to eating oysters and other similar seafood.
