Thousands of Palestinian worshippers held Eid al-Fitr prayers on Wednesday (April 10) at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa mosque compound, one of the holiest sites in Islam. The normally festive Muslim end of the holy month of Ramadan was overshadowed this year by the war in Gaza as talks to secure a ceasefire and hostages release deal between Israel and Hamas appeared stalled.
