Soundbytes: Mexican experts warned of a possible intensification of hurricanes due to global warming during an online press conference on Monday (October 30) regarding Hurricane Otis, which battered the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Atmospheric Sciences and Climate Change Institute Director, Dr Jorge Zavala Hidalgo, told the conference attendees that while the total number of hurricanes was not expected to increase, the number of hurricanes of greater intensity was expected to increase.
