Giant 'fried eggs' art on Sao Paulo's streets highlights global warming, climate crisis ANC
On The Scene: Three giant-sized fried eggs dotted around Sao Paulo on Monday (September 18) warning against global warming and climate change, just as Brazil’s largest city is bracing for a heatwave that could see temperatures reach a seasonal record in the coming days. The Art-Eggccident sculptures, inspired by the trick of letting eggs cook in strong sunlight, is a pop-up 3D art installation from the Dutch artist Henk Hofstra that seeks to raise awareness regarding the climate crisis. The exhibition is part of a festival promoting sustainability through art that takes place in five cities in Brazil from Sept. 16 to 18.
