The Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island began to erupt anew on Sunday (September 10) afternoon, with flows currently confined to the surrounding crater floor, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said. Located in a closed area of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Kilauea is one of the world’s most active volcanoes. The volcano also erupted in January and June of this year.
