Sa kalagitnaan ng pagdinig ng Senado sa People’s Initiative, isinumbat ni Rep. Rodante Marcoleta na ilang beses na aniyang inimbitahan ng Kamara ang Senado na makipagpulong sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng Constituent assembly pero hindi ito pinagbibigyan ng Mataas na Kapulungan.

Agad naman itong dinepensahan ng ilang senador.

“Tamang tama ang obserbasyon ni Rep. Marcoleta, but that cannot be forced… There should be no complaint kasi we are two autonomous bodies,” saad ni Sen. Koko Pimentel.

“As a Senate President, the leader of this institution, I can categorically state that we have not refused any measure. As a matter of fact, I filed last week RBH 6 which is to discuss the economic provisions of the Constitution,” ayon kay Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri.

Buwelta naman ni Sen. Bato dela Rosa, tila pinapalabas ng Kamara na ang Senado ang kontrabida kaugnay sa usapin ng charter change. #News5 via Maeanne Los Baños
