Dashcam footage captured the moment a policeman had a close brush with a potentially fatal accident during a routine traffic stop on a highway in Oklahoma, United States on Jan. 18.
The video released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on Facebook last Wednesday (January 24) showed the police officer, identified as Jesse Gregory, speaking to the driver of a stationary vehicle when another vehicle struck the stopped car. The police officer was flung to the ground from the impact of the crash.
/”Luckily, Trooper Gregory is expected to be ok. In fact, all three people involved in this incident were treated and released,/” an accompanying caption read.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Jan. 18 on the Interstate 40 at Cimarron Road. Reuters was able to confirm the location from nearby signboards, vegetation and the shape of an over-bridge that matched with file and satellite imagery of the area. —Report from Reuters
