Sinasabing naging malaking tulong ang pag-post ng Kensington Palace ng video ni Princess Catherine sa pagtuldok ng mga espekulasyong nakapaligid sa kalagayan niya at sa royal family.
Nitong Enero, opisyal na inanunsyo ang paghinto ng Princess of Wales sa kanyang mga royal duties dala ng abdominal surgery.
Sa mga sumunod na buwan, lumitaw sa social media ang iba’t ibang haka-haka o conspiracy theories tungkol sa kalagayan at sumunod na nangyari sa prinsesa.
Nagliyab pa ang usapan matapos i-publish at i-pull out ng news agencies ang manipulated na litrato ni Princess Catherine noong selebrasyon ng Mother’s Day sa United Kingdom.
Ayon sa veteran royal watcher na si Rob Johnson, lumalim lang nang lumalim ang mga spekulasyon sa hindi paglabas ng balita o larawan ng Kensington Palace dahil nais na ng publiko malaman ang tunay na kalagayan ng prinsesa.
Humiling naman ang prinsesa ng pag-intindi, oras, at privacy habang tinatapos ang treatment.
