Scientists look to make sound-absorbing tech inspired by moth's 'invisibility cloak' ANC
On The Scene: In the evolutionary arms race between bats and their prey, moths developed what scientists describe as a ‘stealth cloak’, making them nearly invisible to bats’ senses. A professor of Sensory Biology at the University of Bristol is now working to mimic this to produce more effective, thinner sound absorbers, creating so-called ‘sonic wallpaper’.
