Airdrops of aid landed in Gaza on Saturday (April 27), while a blast and smoke were seen near its border with Israel as fighting in the strip continued in its seventh month.

Military vehicles moved along the Israel-Gaza border before at least one explosion was seen. Smoke rose after the blast. The exact cause and location of the blast are unclear.

Israel launched its assault in Gaza after Hamas fighters rampaged through Israeli towns on Oct. 7, killing 1,200 people and abducting another 253, according to Israeli tallies.

Israel has killed more than 34,000 people in Gaza, according to Gaza health authorities.
