The Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) temporarily blocked the convoy of PISTON as they were leaving Liwasan ng Bonifacio early Monday morning.
MDTEU personnel said they need to seek clearance before letting the group pass through.
Representatives of PISTON told authorities they were heading to España Boulevard.
After minutes of discussion, the caravan was allowed to leave and made their way towards España.
The group is currently holding a program at the corner of España and Padre Noval.
They are expected to join Kilusang Mayo Uno and BAYAN for Labor Day protests.
