China is firmly opposed to the annual report on human rights made by the United States, claiming it is U.S. hegemony in the guise of human rights. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin made the remarks in response to the 2023 Country Reports on Human Rights Practices released by the U.S. Department of State on Monday.
