The panning aerial views of Brooks Crossing showed swollen muddy rivers and streams overflowing onto a highway and nearby land as rain storms have flooded businesses and homes and displaced thousands of residents in the region.

Authorities said a 4 year old boy died Sunday in Texas’ Johnson County when he was swept away by floodwaters.
