Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh blamed Israel for stalling a ceasefire saying they need to agree on a complete withdrawal from Gaza. Haniyeh spoke to Turkey’s A News on Saturday (April 20) following a meeting with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul. In the meeting, Erdogan told Haniyeh Turkey continues its diplomatic efforts for a permanent ceasefire as well as the establishment of an independent state of Palestine, according to a Turkish presidency statement.
