In the ‘Six Filipino Women for Justice’ book launch in Makati on April 26, former senator Leila de Lima, who was featured in the book, says ‘there is hope’ when women work together against the culture of misogyny, which became ‘dominant’ under former president Rodrigo Duterte, under whose term she began her detention for almost seven years. She also gives advice to young women who aspire to be human rights lawyers like herself.
