Chinese media shared footage of recently-concluded maritime drills highlighting naval formations, combat readiness patrols and long-sea training missions in waters surrounding China, including the South China Sea, the Eastern Indian Ocean, the Western Pacific and other waters. The drills integrated joint operations command system and incorporated wide-area mobility, air and missile defense, and joint strikes. The People’s Liberation Army Navy marked its 75th founding anniversary on April 23 this year.
