The story revolves around Norman Dela Cruz (Kiko Estrada), a student aspiring to be a lawyer. When his mother Tacing (Ana Abad Santos) clashes with her estranged non-biological brother Benito Balmores (Gardo Versoza) over land, tragedy strikes. Despite surviving the ordeal, Norman vows to seek justice for his mother, but his feelings for Benito’s daughter, Mercy Balmores (Sarah Lahbati), complicate matters. Years later, as successful lawyer Abra Espiritu, Norman grapples with his plan for revenge and his lingering emotions for Mercy, now married to Miguel Aguirre (Sid Lucero).
