More than a thousand protesters marched in Paris on Sunday (April 21) against racism, islamophobia and in support of Gaza. After being banned by Paris police, which said it feared violence and antisemitic declarations might occur, the Paris administrative court decided to suspend the ban, deeming it to be /”a serious and manifestly illegal infringement of the freedom to demonstrate./” The 51 organizations dedicated the protest to the memory of all young “victims of police, judicial and prison crimes,” while highlighting also the plight of children in Gaza.
