Hundreds of protesters gathered near Grand Army Plaza in New York on Tuesday (April 23), near Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s home, to protest against U.S. support of Israel’s offensive in Gaza. Organized by Jewish Voice for Peace, the protest was conceived as a ‘seder on the street’ on the second night of the week-long Jewish feast of Passover. The protesters urged Schumer, the highest elected Jewish American, to support an end to providing U.S. weapons for Israel’s war in Gaza.
