The agency predicted 30mm of short-term heavy rainfall for the area already battered by record-breaking rains that began last Thursday.
Images shown by state broadcaster CCTV on Thursday showed residents on rooftops waiting to be evacuated and heavily flooded streets.
The current floods have sparked worries about the region’s defences against bigger deluges induced by extreme weather events.
